National Jhakri Dance Competition 2022
Criteria for Participation:
- Participation is open to Groups/ Associations registered with the Registrar of Association in Mauritius.
- An artist is allowed to participate in only one dance.
- The number of participants (including singers, dancers and musicians) per group should be a minimum of 15 and a maximum of 20 participants.
- The dance should be based only on Jhakri (a folk dance form related to Ganesh Chaturthi)
- The duration of each performance should be of minimum 5 minutes and maximum 7 minutes (including any opening or closing prayer).
- No age limit.
- Participants will be requested to produce ID card prior to the performance.
- Participants below 18 will have to show school bus pass and letter of consent from parents/ responsible party.
- The decision of the jury is final and shall not be subject to any challenge.
- The attached participation form duly filled in should reach the Mauritius Marathi Cultural Centre Trust at latest by 15:00 hrs on Friday 12th August 2022.
